Charles Sanders Peirce 1839–1914 was the founder of yankee pragmatism (afterwards named by Peirce pragmaticism). He wrote on an array of matters, from mathematical logic and semiotics to psychology.Neopragmatist thinkers who are more faithful to classical pragmatism contain Sidney Hook and Susan Haack (recognized for the theory of foundherentism)
